Schools Can Podcast!
A podcasting contest for young creatives.
A successful podcast requires a concept, an outline or script, good audio quality, sound editing, eye catching artwork, a solid brand vision & marketing plan all while working in a team environment.
Podcasting has been exploding in popularity over the last several years. The barrier to enter this medium is low, and almost anyone can podcast - including schools!
Teens nowadays need an outlet and podcasting is the perfect team class project. Working in the classroom with a teacher, students can create their own show, write the script, design the art & branding, and learn how to make use of constructive criticisms from the teacher. This allows the students to spread their own message. The medium of podcasting allows the words to come through first - unlike visual mediums such as YouTube or Instagram which is based on looks first. The listener doesn’t care what the podcaster is wearing. They care about listening to quality content.
